Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Working with Sharilyn Horne Business Concepts

What are your rates?

No two projects are the same...tell me what you need, and I'll give you a reasonable and well-thought-out quote.

That sounds good, but I see that you are in Seattle. I'm in Toronto (Hawaii, Iceland, Djibouti)...how would that work?

It actually works quite well...I've been working virtually with clients all over North America (and the world, for that matter) for over five years now.

I currently have clients in California, Oregon, Arizona, Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Massachussetts, New York, Arkansas, Tennessee, Vermont, Maryland, and Kentucky, as well as Canada, Australia, and Switzerland. I communicate with them primarily via email, but I am also available from 10am to 5pm (Pacific Time) via telephone, preferably by appointment.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is accepted by major credit card, PayPal, check, cash, or money order.

For web development packages, I request pre-payment of a percentage of the initial estimate, with the balance due upon completion of work.

Do you do Flash sites?

Don't get me started.

Flash is...well...bad. Ok, maybe not intentionally bad. But a site done entirely in Flash is very, very bad. While there are some visually-striking Flash sites out there, their very nature goes against what most solopreneurs and small business owners want to achieve with their sites.

Flash sites are:

I create sites that are:

If you still want a Flash site, don't say I didn't warn you.

I really like my current host. Do I have to host my site with you in order for you to (re)design my site?

Of course not! I work with several clients who use other hosting providers. It's completely a matter of personal preference for my clients. (But it IS a stellar deal!)

I simply offer hosting as a convenience to my clients, and that is the reason why I offer it to ONLY my clients...not the general public. I have complete confidence in the hosting I offer, and I host all of my sites on the very same system.
