Color Me Butterfly is the site (and title) for author L.Y. Marlow's first book, to be published this spring. We initially launched this site in November 2006, but soon decided to add some sections and change the site structurally to reflect that.
There were no changes with the look and feel of the site with the relaunch, which is good because I still think it's one of the prettiest sites I've created.
The changes we made to the site, and the relative ease with which we made them, were a testament to the intuitve nature of the Squarespace platform. L.Y. was able to make many of the changes herself within the Squarespace system, including adding new sections and creating numerous new pages.
I will continue to promote Squarespace as a platform for many of my clients who are looking for an intuitive blog/hybrid site platform.
Color Me Butterfly tells the story of four generations of mothers and daughters: the true story of L.Y. Marlow's grandmother, her mother, herself, and her daughter. With grace and wisdom, she examines the impact intergenerational domestic abuse has had on her family for over sixty years.
