Flattery will get you everywhere!

In spite of my uber-cranky exterior, I'm a sucker for a compliment. Say something nice about my dog, my house, or my hair and I'm all over it. Especially my hair.

And let's not leave out my work, especially sweet nothings about my own site...because it's more than just a site, it's a reflection of me on many levels, and the product of more blood, sweat, and tears than I care to recall. And a tetanus shot...but that's a story for another day.

Oh, and there is a point to this, other than just letting you know I like it when people say nice things...someone said a nice thing, and it's had me smiling all day. A potential client and I had exchanged a few emails about the possibility of working together, and he said the following:

I love the mid-century modern look of your site. It's absolutely perfect!

I'm sure that most of you are saying "Huh?" but to me it is perfect. I love it when someone who gets it lets me know they approve.

Now that I'm no longer living in the Bay Area I'll probably never get to indulge my Mid-Century Modern lust for an Eichler house, so my site will have to do. At least I built this with my own two hands.
