The Last Day of Our Acquaintance

Don't get your hopes up...it's not the last day of this blog.

This is my last day here in California, after 20 years...my entire adult life. Tomorrow, we're on the road to our new home in the Seattle area.

I have some trepidation, but right now it seems to centered around getting my stuff loaded and on the road. I keep discovering things the packers "missed" yesterday.

While I've had some wonderful opportunities here over the years (top-notch education, working for one of my favorite companies, good friends), I can't say I'm sad to go.

I think it's an amicable breakup...no major blowups, no single decisive event. Just time to move on.
