So we are deep in the muck that comes with preparing to move, and getting our existing house ready to sell.
Hard core demolition is going on in our master bath, after the inspector found moisture from the tub had rotted out the subfloor. I've moved downstairs two flights to the guest room, so I can use a bathroom where there are actual fixtures in place and sleep in close proximity to said bath.
I am finding it incredibly difficult to work with all of the sawing and hammering that is going on, even that far upstairs. That combined with the endless number of moving-related tasks makes for an even-crankier-than-usual me...bet you didn't think that was possible!
And no, I didn't open that door and take a look at what they had done in that bathroom. I don't need to see the mess.
I've convinced myself it doesn't matter as long as it comes together in the end. As someone who is endlessly striving to create better processes for my business, understanding every step along the way, my innate desire to "know" was killing me. But letting go and trusting the workers to do their job has been very powerful. Maybe I'm finally learning the value of when to let go.
