This is one of my least-favorite days of the year...
Not April 3rd in particular, but the Monday after Daylight Saving Time starts.
I have always found this one day to be very discombobulating, much more so than the Sunday immediately after the time change. And CERTAINLY much more upsetting to my routine than the end of DST in October.
One would think it would not impact me as much in the years I've been working for myself. Although my days are full, they are much less scheduled than when I had a "job." And yet it still hits me like a ton of bricks, year after year, taking me few days or even a week to get back on track.
I appreciate that the time change provides real energy savings. I'm all for that. But can't we find a way to save our precious natural resources that doesn't leave me feeling drained of mine?
The endless weeks of rain we've been having here in the Bay Area aren't making it any better. If I wanted weather like this I would live in Seattle.
<sigh>
