I finally purchased some Photoshop plug-ins I've had my eye on...they automate the creation of ebook covers, product boxes, and the like. I'm frequenly asked to create these sorts of images for my clients when they launch a new information product, and it was about time I made it a little easier for myself.
I'd been playing around with manually creating them in Photoshop, but I was never satisfied enough with the end product to automate the process. I've also purchased a couple of different stand-alone pieces of software...but there were problems there as well.
First, these products (along with almost everything else in this vein) are for Windows, and I do all of my design work (along with about 99% of everything else) on the Mac.
Also, the end result inevitably looked like shit was not up to my standards.
So imagine my delight when I found Cover Software Pro...very quick and easy to use, and I love the end result. As you can see, I've been creating some items of the greatest importance:
