Donate Your Time to Consolidate Katrina Missing-Persons Lists

September 4, 2005

I found this on BoingBoing earlier tonight...a very easy way to help people find their loved ones.

Numerous lists have been popping up for Katrina survivors and their families to find each other, but this data is scattered everywhere and impossible to track.

The fine folks at the Katrina PeopleFinder Project have put together a way to consolidate that data from the various online sources. What they need is your help to bring that data into their system.

It's very, very easy...just an hour or two of your time, doing data entry, is all it takes to help out. I just completed entering a page of entries from the Louisiana Nursing Home Association, indicating which facilities residents had been moved from, and where they were moved to.

I hope to spend some more time there tomorrow.
