After all the work I did to develop the new site, I felt pretty strongly that IE6 (Windows) would not really give me any problems with my CSS. HA!
Yes, I was almost certain I had tested in on my PC in IE6. I use Firefox on both my Mac and my PC these days, but as a good former tech support grunt I know the importance of testing on every possible platform.
Well, apparently I had not. Because my upper navigation looks like crap in IE6. Really, really bad. And that means that any of the many people I told about the new site who 1)use IE and 2)said it looked good are LIARS.
I hoped that everyone I know would be evolved enough to use Firefox, but I guess that is too much to hope for. (What I really wish is that they just all used Macs, but I guess I'll just have to dream.)
I am so frustrated... both with IE6's complete inability to render standards-compliant code, and with my oversight.
The least you can do is use Firefox...sigh
